Thanks for all your replies chaps, it’s good to know you take an interest!
In response to the issues raised:
Personally, I find the gear lever quite comfortable and well-placed, so I’m happy to leave well alone in that respect.
Unfortunately the speedo and tacho can’t be swapped over as they’re all connected via this Canbus malarkey, so modern technology does have its drawbacks - especially to us tinkerers.
I’ve looked at the Williams windstop but I’m not too keen on the design as I much prefer a cleaner, straighter profile more in keeping with the lines of the car. So I’ll persevere with the MGF version and see what I can come up with and keep you posted.
I’m going for the MotoLita thick-rimmed wooden wheel, but if anyone fancies a cheap leather-rimmed alternative to the MotoLita wheel, it’s possible to transform the original Morgan wheel (the one with the cheap and nasty plastic pad) into something of beauty as I described in a previous post at
http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/190153/Steering_wheels#Post190153My car, correctly identified on the Ledgerwood website by Richard, has the Aero Racing Sports Exhaust which I find to be an excellent alternative to the other sports versions which I found to be just too noisy and uncomfortable. This one makes a lovely growl when asked and isn’t intrusive in normal use thankfully.
It’s had adjustable shocks fitted to the rear, and twin anti-tramp bars. (I think originally the Roadsters only had one?). As part of the deal Phil installed the Suplex system on the front for me, so now it’s got adjustables all round, which will give me something else to play about with in the future.
The wingliners I’ll be fitting to the car are the MOg MMX Innovations-winning Wells Wingliners that I created back in 2010, and described here in a copy of my submission to Miscellany Magazine:
