Lovely picture, bit of a thread drift back to Lancia . I think it was the beta that did it for Lancia with the rust issue. Bought a beautifull monte carlo back in the day it drove quite well but the brakes were a serious issue kept it for about a month and swapped it for a glorious alfasud green cloverleaf.I drove an integrale once it was an awesome car,Lancia have brought out quite a few classics over time..
Em Your “convertible” Davrian was a classic!

Now that is a blast from the "happy" past. Does my memory tell me it was an Imp powered car similar to the various Mini powered cars such as the Unipower and the Mini Marcos?

Yes Reg,It was a money pit I fitted a Hartwell 998 imp engine which i then fitted to about three imps.The Davrian ended up in Germany with a n875 sport engine on strombergs.The magnificent Hartwell twin webbered engine finished its life with me in a fully rally prepared Singer chamois.I might have rose tints on but of all the cars ive owned i wish i could have it back.

It could be dangerous to find out..... The Official Secrets Act might apply as there is a military connection! I'm a signatory. Rally Rescue units used to hope they didn't have to deal with those cars - very tough to get the roof off for crew extrication.

Em As I recall, they were very nice cars but the Singer Chamois was a really classy little beast with just enough wood inside and that sloping back window/hatch to let you know where your money had gone. Shame they never really caught on like Cooper minis!
