Thanks Graham. That seems to be the most logical place to me. I'm also thinking of placing the temperature gauge sender below the thermostat housing under the stat. so that it monitors engine temperature rather than rad. top temp. In other words - swapping the location of the two senders. Waterless coolant! - too soon for me to comment yet but time will tell...!
