It will not be long until we all have to drive with lights on day and night. The christmas tree LED's on modern cars like Audi are awful.
Another plus for us with older cars is that LED's don't suck too much on dynamos and batteries.

Oh - how I agree. These "strings of pearls" do nothing for aesthetics in my view. In fact they irritate me. Mind you, I always used to pass caustic comments when Volvos approached with dipped headlights during daytime. They started the rot!
