Having spent time tracking down the 'B Hive' spanner, they sent me to the manufacturer to ask my questions with no response.

So Back to B Hive to place an order where they finally told me that they do not supply overseas. They gave me the link below to the MG Owners Club who sell both of the spanners here in the UK, Link below

Both spanners are £34.94 + vat. + delivery £5.91.

These things can go round and around Frank - why did the chap at MGOC tell me the eared spanner was only for undoing? I'm confused and it's nearly Christmas! Meabh.

Well Meabh, at least you got someone to answer a question which is more than I did by either B Hive or the manufacturer.

A great idea for any Morgan.
Does anyone know if they are available in Australia from some supplier?
The postage of a heavy object like that would probably be the same or more than the cost of the spanner if purchased from the UK!

You may well find a few takers down under if a small minimum order was required? Just a thought...

I have even been giving thought to adapting the existing spanner that came with the car.
Making an extension arm that slides over the arm of the spanner. The spanner is a very solid structure and could take that type of adapt ion?
Has any one on here done that yet?

Hey that's really simple.
Weld pipe to spanner and insert longer rod.
I'm off to the shed to find materials then weld it all together.

Easy if you only need one picture..
BTW what length did yo make the handle for correct torque?

UPDATE:
made mine in the shed today and it all fits into the tool box inside the engine bay.
welded tube to spanner.
Cut suitable size and length solid rod to fit into tube and length to fit into tool box.
Also cut extra length of same size tube as welded on the spanner, to slide over solid rod and extend the cranking length to something useful to torque up the wheel nuts.
It all fits into the tool box in its wrappings.
