If you are doing nothing, how do you know when you are finished?

Just received my 2 Ear Spinner Spanner from the MG Owners Club, complete with a nice parts cataloge and Parts CD (just need an 'MG' now to go with them).

Label Says "The British Wheel Wrench tm"
University Motors Approved
Austin Healey, Sunbeam, MG, Triumph.

Spanner Price to me - £34.95 + £6.95 Postage.
This is Much cheaper than the Old Timers tool and a strong piece of steel which fits over the spinner easily. It was worth taking the chance as I could not get an answer to my question ' Would it reach the Roadsters Deep Set Spinners'.
But it does reach easily and will do the job nicely for me rather than the risk of 'Spoke Bouncing'

Overall Length - 67cm
Width Over Spinner - 8.5cm
Steel Thickness - 5mm
Painted Black - a very neat finish.
Weight - just over 1 kilo (Domestic Scales)

I hooked the spanner onto a Spinner 5mins after it arrived but did not actually bother to undo the spinner due to other pressing pre Christmas priorities.

It will work very well and even though the finish of the cut edges and paint is good I will be putting a thin 2mm / 3mm skin of Neoprene on the inside surfaces to protect the spinner surface even though it actually only touches the spinner around the ear points as in the diagram.
Also MGOC do not offer a cover as my first photo from the B Hive site shows so I will be getting the sewing machine out after Christmas. wine
