Blimey, I thought it was bad here that weekend.
Well done on the racing.
Good to see you at the factory the other day thumbs

Well, I only did 10 miles today, but had a nice chat in the Coop car park with a guy who used to own a couple of Spartans. He seemed very keen on the Morgan!

150 miles Kent to Dorset in teeming rain and lots of standing water. Surprised how little water got in (top leading edge of side screens mainly, a few drops from header rail). Stopped off in the New Forest to pick up a '93 mini Sprite for my Son who then followed the 4/4 in his new purchase - looking at the weather forecast, tomorrow will be just as wet for the return leg. Still, I'm glad I'm not the one driving the little buzzbox.

Drove to Kempsford yesterday to see some family friends - had a reasonable trip, but halfway there the rev counter decided to stop working, and then she wouldn't idle - fine once running, but at every traffic light, junction or roundabout she would stall. Restarted OK every time, but VERY frustrating.

This morning, she started fine, but was still cutting out. Took a spin up to Worcester and she miraculously cured herself! I reckon she thought she should behave herself when she got closer to Malvern. In real terms possibly a blocked idle jet that cleared itself?

Run back home was OK, apart from a wiper deciding to part company with the spindle! Caught it quick so no great issues!

She's going back to Allon White on Thursday to have the speedo cable fitted, and I'll get them to look at the Rev Counter, and check out a slight oil drip she's developed while they're there. Considering I've done more mileage in the last 7 days, the she'd done in the previous 5 years, it's not surprising a few things are going adrift....

Rev counter is probably a simple electrical connection problem. Had the same on my '76 once.
Check the fuel lines for fuel filter (should be under the bonnet close to bulkhead), might be time to replace it.
Also, as you are "piling on the miles" since collection keep an eye on coolant temp and level. My water pump failed after a thousand miles or so due to lack of use by previous owner.

Yes - the rev counter dial illumination wasn't working either, so I imagine it's an earth that's worked lose or something similar.

The carb, fuel pump, lines and filter are new - done less than 500 miles (400 by me!) but I imagine there may be a bit of sediment in the tank that's being dragged through. I'll keep an eye on the filter.

Will also keep an eye on the water. I tend to spend my time glued to the dials at the moment but everything seems to be running OK (at the moment!)

Yes - they've been really good to date.
