There is a very nice re-bodied Morgan in a museum in Spain but I can never find the photo when I want it. It has a very Italian, almost 60s Ferrari, look about it. Could it be this one I wonder.   Yes that is it. Thanks. What a shame Morgan did not put this into production instead of the Plus 4+; probably it would have been too expensive.

Peter, is this the one you refer to?  PS. I wouldn’t be a former Morgan owner if I could get my hands on this! Very tasty indeed. Don't be discouraged John. All it takes is a bit of money. I could probably get one knocked up for you locally. That is if that body builder is out of jail for building fakes

The back of that Morgan is very similar to that pretty Lancia on Cars mostly from yesterday. I have a strong suspicion that a good deal of the bodywork was "donated" from a production car. Obviously it would not be impossible to build it all from scratch however it would be much easier to take the body from say a crashed Lancia snf re-build it on a Morgan chassis. Building doors with wind-up windows would be greatly simplified by simply fitting pre-existing doors. The glass was obviously not custom made so it must have come from some production model.

That's a new car for me Jacques I agree there are many similarities between the two, thanks for sharing the knowledge. That is a pretty little car.

You are welcome Richard. In fact these cars (coupé & convertible) were not produced at the Simca factory in Poissy (now PSA factory always in service) but hand crafted at Facel factory at Colombes near Paris.
