Grinall Cars do versions....

I saw one a couple of years back at a local Pistonheads Sunday meet.
A decent option for substantially less than a M3W!

I saw one of these about 15 years ago at the Motorcycle show at Westpoint Exeter and was really impressed - have to say I prefer the look of it to the M3W too and with proven BMW running gear. It was only the lack of any weather protection at the time that put me off.

I would probably have simply kept the grill off, but still very sharp looking.

That looks rather nice. The Grinnall Scorpion uses the BMW K series 4 cylinder engines, not the two cylinder Boxer R engines like this seems to have. I think that could make a very good trike. I had a K1200RS powered Scorpion for a few years, it was a wild machine. I prefer my rather more sedate M3W these days.

It was the Boxter engine that was the charm about Cuthbert's Trike. The Motorcycle sat in pieces in My Living Room for several years. But I did not have the Engineering capability, nor time and money to render it. My initial idea was to use the engine and transmission, extend the drive shaft and use the rear wheel assy. No reverse gear. Many evening hours trying to think this out. The pictures are on the wall right next to the TV. I wanted the finished Trike to look like the pictures.

In the mean time Pete Larson was building and selling His "Liberty Ace" trike. I knew nothing about this until Pete showed up at a "All Brit Car Show" right next to Our Morgans. Pete's shop is less than 7 miles from My home. The quality of the "Liberty Ace" was fantastic.
