When the first crash and ensuing loss of life occurs they will begin to take effective measures but until that time the rhetoric will continue. That is a dreadful thought ! There could be 350 people dead minimum or more.

There could be 350 people dead minimum or more. Exactly, they seem to have failed to identify this as an alternative readily deployed form of terrorism which is what it is no matter who carries it out. It's as effective as an RPG without the risk of discovery, straight into the fan blades on one of the engines at V2 and it's job done with the plane full of fuel. That was the simple straightforward thinking that made 911 such a success from the terrorist viewpoint the plane was the warhead and delivery system. It was genius at work I hate to say.

Amazon recently claimed to be looking at drones for deliveries..or was that fake news?
I could never see that happening over urban areas but ok for SMALL items to rural addresses. They would also need upmarket drones and controllers trained and licensed as operators due to distances outside line of sight.

I am still staggered that three sightings of one drone near an airport can cause this amount of chaos
Now this has happened, makes you wonder what’s next in drone distruption and more anti-drone strategies
I’m also surprised that they are considered ‘aircraft’ themselves so bringing one down constitutes a criminal offence
I’ve learned quite a lot over the last day or so
I think some laws and issuing of licences need attending to

It’s ok licensing drone pilots, geofencing etc but anyone who is good at electronics and programming can get around that if they seriously want to be disruptive.
