Without checking the log book, about 4,000 miles I think. I'm impressed by the totals others have run up but my excuse is that my mog is 50 years old and a car for sport rather than transport. Best drives? The 3 laps of Le Mans and the dusk into darkness run from Calais to Amiens down the A16 at the end of July. Or the run over the Klausenpass. Sounds as though I'm name dropping but it was a very good year.

Not nearly enough, however, those miles I have done have been really enjoyable!

Thats all quite impressive. I have never managed much more than 3000 miles in my toy cars and its usually 1000. And when I look at Ferraris ( which I often do laugh ) they rarely average more than 2000 miles a year. Looking at a 2001 360 at the moment and that has 25000 miles on it in 17 years, 10000 of which were in the first 3 years.

Its the same with bikes.

I wonder why this is the case. Porsche seem to do higher mileages as do Astons.

It's probably wrapped up in not wanting to lose money on the asset and not wanting to get huge servicing bills.

All we need is convertible two seater for touring holidays. Paradoxically luggage space isn't important. We manage.

So it depends on what you want. I remember talking to a man on holiday who was in a new 911. All he could do was complain about lack of luggage space.
Turned out he was an Aston Martin owner. His car was in for some warranty work and the dealer lent him this 911.

He wasn't happy!!

My Plus 4 did about 7300 miles in 7 years before I bought it early last month. I’ve done over 800 miles in less than 2 months...
