I agree Neptune, it is like a kind of new „softer terror“ to attack our societies at the weak points. This leads to major economic losses but a dangerous crash is also taken into account.

Here's another - how do we know that Gatwick is not the trial run for the main event carrying HE ? What is HE, Heathrow? That was my thought also, plus the attempt to distract security from the main objective, the same would be with us e.g. Frankfurt instead of Stuttgart. It shows the same pattern.

Sorry Heinz high explosives probably plastic.. right on both counts Heinz I think they are just warming up for a Christmas crescendo, I'd like to be proven wrong though. Dividing and diverting resources away from the target prior to a strike on the main mission goes back to when God was a boy in warfare. This has been achieved already for/by them.

I thought it felt a bit like they were testing for reaction time and response quality. They seem to be quite serious if they are prepared to come back three or four times and risk real reponse. By now I would hope the military mm radar and drone detection stuff has been deployed. If they were just t@@ts then they would have run when it got serious.
The conversation between the drone and the controller can be managed once you get a bead on it. On many of the drones it is not encrypted or authenticated so subject to hijacking. But you have to be close enough for that to happen efficiently from what I have seen.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

You don't reveal too much of your hand if you are at all serious and as you say they appear to be testing response at the moment.
If they are twonks I think they would have decamped once they realised there was high velocity accurate anytime sighted kit around with the right guys on the other end.
I think if you were serious you would have developed your own secure communication system for the drone to be honest and I think this is why they haven't caught one or it's operative as yet. It would be naïve in the extreme to use standard kit in this sort of scenario. These boys and girls possibly have access to Saudi funding so money is no object for research and development.
If it turns out to be a standard unit operated by PS4 kids they will have made the whole of our security forces look pretty damn silly.

Richard, sadly I think this has opened a whole new theatre of opportunity for all dissident groups. Time to go out in the Mog & get my grin back.

The newspaper again:
But late Friday afternoon, the public prosecutor's office in Stuttgart was able to give the all-clear: None of the men were suspected of having prepared a serious criminal offence at the airport that would endanger the state. "The searches revealed no evidence for our suspicion," said a spokesman for the public prosecutor's office in Stuttgart. The suspects, whose whereabouts were known to the police, picked up only one woman at Stuttgart airport, they had no luggage with them, their behaviour was suspicious. The chat was not serious, there were no connections to the alleged spying of Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris. False alarm therefore.
