Presumably there is a metal chassis under the woodwork somewhere? wink

Might be heresy to classic M3W owners but I'd consider a different profile tail: the fat bum with spare just looks ugly to me. Arguably if you are providing new metalwork you are not "restoring" but "rebuilding" anyways... smile

Rog G yes I have same chassis and the matchless MX water cooled side valve engine wheels need tyres off and powder coat dont know if to go for silver or black wheels, tyres are knacked so thinking brockleys?

Not sure Blockleys are available in the correct size, the tyres on mine are from Longstone.

Have you tried Ewan Cameron?

Check the wheels very very carefully for cracking between the stud holes before you have them painted. Preferably after they have been blasted. It's a well known problem with the Dunlop Magna wheels.

Also check the rear wheel to see if it's been run with the rear wheel nuts slack as if if has the wheel may be scrap

Can recommend GKL powder coating at Snetterton for such on 01953 888215.

Mine after blasting to remove original black then coated in metallic silver and laquer.



Still perfect after 18 months for under £100 the pair.

argh closer inspection to the mx engine reveals some cold stictching looks like I may be after MX water cooled head castings?
