My black wires are more of a Matt black finish on the inside, not a gloss finish like the outside Are you sue it's not 'road grime' Craig??? Mine were the same both sides.

In my experience, it’s only possible to have a perfect finish on a wheel if one side is painted, cured then masked, before the other side is done, doing the whole wheel at once results in overspray blowing through and leaves a dull finish on the less important side.
While you have the wheels off, Bob, check those small hex head countersunk cap screws, they were very slightly loose on one of mine and made a clicking noise when driving. Wasn't the case when I had my M3W ones powder coated. They came out perfectly in one pass and for less than one tenth of MMC price. It was a company that specialises in car wheels though.

I remember many many years ago when I bought mine. The joke was you bought it then stripped it down and rebuilt it . They where not wrong but forgot to say its like a giant Meccano of the Forth Bridge by the time you get to the rear its time to return to the front . Still what better than a mug of coffee a few biscuits and some spanners spending the afternoon covered in grease tightening your nuts .

Still what better than a mug of coffee a few biscuits and some spanners spending the afternoon covered in grease tightening your nuts . You're so right. I remember when people would drive their brand new car straight to Melvyn's to have it taken apart and put back together properly. That was in the days when the factory used to spray the cars wings on so you only got a couple of hundred miles before the bare metal was on its way to becoming a vauxhall viva!

If people want a car that doesn't require attention, they should buy a Mazda.

There is no fun keeping clean in Mazda . Much rather have a dirty weekend in a Morgan .

No road grime on my car Dave, its just not the same paint quality finish as the spokes side. It doesn't bother me as long as its clean

 I was going to suggest to Tim that provided they were taken apart and decent underseal / rust protection added, Mazdas might last a few years. Looks as though that wouldn't be correct, either!
