Yes strange that perhaps that is why there seemed to be more of them racing being lower priced.

It only applies to pre 1999 4 seaters generally

4 seaters from 1999-2004 and the last model from 2005-2017 are more sought after because of the proper independent rear folding seats and three point seat belts which came in 1999

I made a 3K profit on my first Morgan even though I had put over 12K miles on the clock and sold to a dealer. Mainly because I bought well in the first place and the dealer knew the car very well and new the demand being a 2000 4 seater

I think some Morgans ARE rising in value innocent

Just look at +8 prices, early ones are now very much sought after, I would even suggest that the last of (this) breed have risen (quite steeply) i.e. since 2016.

I say this as a last model +8 was my first choice when I started looking for a Morgan, in a serious way.

In early 2016 several +8's, circa 1998-2002 age range, could be purchased for £30k....those cars are certainly (in demand) and now command £33-36K for the same car.

Honesty means doing it right, even when no one is looking!

Given the excellent condition of the car, is it worth a phone call to either (or both) Lifes or Allon White to ask about the implications of a commission sale? AW only have 6 Morgans one their web site at present and none are 4 seaters.

Traders in general want £2000, plus service on sale, fresh mot, any remedial works they find....so £2500 plus to sell your car.
so returning £16,000.

I may as well reduce the price myself and stick it on an Internet site at £50 an advert.

I had a VERY bad experience with a consignment sale
lost thousands, went to solicitors / court
dealer ripped me and several other customers off
he went "bust" to avoid debts etc etc

So best avoided in my experience!

Brands Hatch Morgan have handled three commission sales I've personally known about, all have been very professionally handled.
They may well get the 21t you orinially wanted and return you almost 18 perhaps.
Might be well worth talking to them.
I've no connection with them, just happen to think they are a seriously responsible and reliable dealer.

Yes , I have no desire to line dealers pockets at my expense
I'll just keep reducing the price until it's sold
