That looks like a pushrod V8, maybe they are going for something LS based.

It does appear to be their own engine. More details HERE . The article also states that 12 of the 20 cars are sold already! Yes. Got mixed up with the car the ex TV R engineers are making

All 20 now sold apparently. That's around £8M. I wonder how much it'll cost to produce them?

That is very good going - I hope they have one at Festival of Speed Goodwood in July I can look around and dream about. I'm not keen on the shape at all but it's always interesting looking at the new products.
We saw the new TVR a couple of Revival meetings ago at Goodwood and that looked really tasty - we have yet to see it produced and I have serious doubts about it now lets hope this one doesn't suffer a similar fate.
