We must be setting a trend with "Possum" the turboed "Plus 4 Plus" since MMC have followed suit with their turboed Plus 6. Haha. Final rolling road tuning took place yesterday at Stanton Motorsports (just off the M4) and went well. Car had been carefully run in for 250 miles with minimum boost (0.4 bar) and already felt very pokey. Now with a still-modest 1.0 bar it is pretty amazing. Target figure of 240 flywheel bhp was reached (more is available, if needed, with higher boost) but the all-important torque figures exceeded expectations. Torque curve is very flat from 2500 rpm to 5000 and torque peaks at 3000 rpm with 280 ft lbs (standard GDI Plus 4 only manages 145 ftlbs). To sum up, very driveable, loads of omph and no perceptible turbo lag. Several of you have asked about the conversion and talks are in progress with Morgan specialists who want to market the ECU/engine harness on and exchange basis. the kit should be available for both GDI and Duratec Morgans and we will give details of supplier and cost soon.

Knowing how torquey and drivable my 2l. Golf R engine is, the Ecoboost must be very similar, so well done Peter, a good job well done, and I look forward to knowing the cost to us of all your hard development work.

If Mogmag are still in production, I'm sure they could be prevailed upon to conduct a road test. But there again, I don't think I've seen them on the bookstalls recently.

Wolf in sheeps clothing ! 240bhp for starters ain't bad with lots more available ! And its leading on to GDI and Duratec modification options as well , you have done owners a big favour , well done Griffo , wouldn't mind a passenger ride , let me know !
