Fractured oil pipe spraying hot oil at 3+ bar all over everything?

Not a nice thought.

Electrical, every time!

The Luddites amongst us with old cars like the mechanical oil pressure gauges. I have one in my Series 1 and has been perfect for 25 years. Keeping the oil from leaking out of various orifices of the engine and drive train is another matter though. smile

You should contact Ian John at Caerbont, the makers of all smiths gauges, they supply MMC with all thier gauges. He was extremely helpful to me when i wanted to install an oil temperature gauge. He will be able to help you with gauges and fittings that you require......however beware, morgan apparently have persistently sourced the incorrect oil pressure sender for the 3-gauge panel instrument you need his advice.

Lowflyer, do you know by chance the number of the correct oil pressure sender for the 3gauge instrument as it is in a 2014 4/4?
Do you have this information also from Mr Ian John? This would explain a lot why my OPG is really not to use. Now it is April 2019 KEVFITZ haha crazy2

Hi, as others have said I no longer have the Morgan but the electronic oil pressure gauge I bought from Holdens, along with a sender unit and a T adaptor so that I could retain the original oil pressure switch also. I also bought a bezel from them at the same time that was the identical profile to other the existing Morgan gauges. Easy to change over.
Might have the details somewhere, I'll have a look but I'm sure you could find it on Holdens website.

Current car has Jaeger gauges and even in 1934 came with oil pressure and oil temperature gauges, Rev counter, speedo, trip, temp gauge, the works.. But no fuel gauge..the jack handle extension is nicely calibrated as a dipstick!
ATB! Steve.
