Those LS V8's are real gems - I've sold one of the vettes to make room for the Morgan.

I would agree with most Morgan models, but the used M3W market take a huge hit from depreciation...especially the earlier models. No car hold its value fully until/if it becomes collectible and begins to rise back. Most Morgans stay relatively flat from what I have seen in the long run. Much like the lotus elise market, buy it...drive it...sell it for near the same.

That may have been true a year or so back.

However having just checked on Pistonheads, Autotrader and MMC, there is no M3W listed in the UK at less than I paid for my Nov 2013 car. So my depreciation has been nil over 5 years

If you want a new car and plan to keep it in the UK or outside of the EU then I'd suggest you move quickly to snap up an EU3 whilst MMC can still get them through IVA.

Agreed Chris - & although my M3W has had its issues, it's still worth more than I paid all those years ago. When you add on top the mod state upgrades it's still good value.

Given the 5 years we've had owning the 2012 it's still providing un-rivalled fun & raw excitement plus some of the issues we've suffered are not down to to it's early design either.

Or get a well sorted and upgraded older car, they do exist. This is a particularly good option if you are mechanically minded, as a larger number of M3W owners seem to be. Much of the work isn't difficult and can be done by a competent owner at a fraction of the cost of taking it to a dealer.

I would say that my 2013 goes and drives better than a new Euro 3 (or 4) car. I hate to think how much time, money and effort has gone into achieving that though and there isn't a lot of the original car left but others can learn from the early owners experience. The Mazda gearbox remains the only major component that has had no issues.

Well I wanted an EU3 since i live outside of Europe but I do expect to go home to France some day and i've been told in a separate post that i wouldn't be able to register a new EU3 in the EU when i bring it back with me.

I did want to buy a newer used one but the ones listing on hemming are all between 5 to 25,000 more expensive than the one i priced on their website. Unless I find another fair priced similar profile 3 wheeler I think i'll be in touch with MMC.

Keep in mind there is no dealer here in my country anymore and the service center will close in 2022. So i'd like to go with the lesser pain road.

I've already found a competent shop who specializes on vintage cars and bikes.

The big question mark is what will brexit do the GBP and the 3 wheeler pricing. Any idea ?

I ordered mine in july of 2013 knowing there is no service shop in the Middle East. I got it in November of 2013, kuwait. I Used it with no issues and did the oil changes at home. But i shipped it back to the factory summer of 2017 to get all the upgrades done to it. It’s very fun, but I recommend buying a newer m3w as I paid close to £7000 and that’s without shipping. But i had them also replace a few wear & tear parts that were still good. You have to take risks in life & its definitely worth it. Thank god the m3w was good to me
