For Sale - Morgan Aero 8 series 2. OK the time has come for me to advertise my really very special Series 2 Morgan Aero 8. Why is it special? Well: • It stood (sat?) alongside the very first Aeromax built for Prince Eric Sturdza at the 2005 Geneva Motor show and subsequent phot shoots • It carried the famous MMC 11 plate for a while before I bought it • It is a very rare series 2 even rarer with the door vents. • It sports 365 Bhp as proven at the TM rolling Road session a year or so back. Many other Aeros were also tested and didnt come close. The machine was definitley reading right! (or all the other cars were seriously missing a few cylinders ) • It has been an ever present at every Aero owners trip performing admirably every trip and never letting me down once. Only time it has ever let me down was when it blew a hose in the UK due to a known fault that is now resolved (a bolt from the suspension upright would rub, resolved on all similar cars by turning the upright around 180 degrees). • It was cited by Jean Pierre Jabouille (ex F1 ex Aero GT3 racing team manager) and Jacques Laffite (needs no introduction) as the quickest and best driving car on a track day in the South of France in company with about 20 other Aeros of all denominations. • Lastly and most importantly - because it was mine The more boring details are: ABS Airbags Wider body The beautiful series 2 wheels Approximately 46k miles. Virtually all (in my hands) on European/UK trips. FSH between factory and Miller Motors. Last attended to at Miller Motors September 2010 before 2010 St Tropez. Side exit exhausts Alpine flip screen sat nav/MP3 player/Aux player/Bluetooth/Reverse camera. Xenon headlights fitted at the factory. Toyo Proxe TR1's in pretty good nick will confirm but would say no less than 20% worn?? Other extras such as door pockets, dashboard box etc. Most importantly great fitting hood, can be raised and lowered by hand from within by one person - even on the move up to 30mph as has been witnessed by at least one TM'er and virtually 100% waterproof!! It has been an ultra reliable car well sorted, rumour has it, though not confirmed, it had been fettled by the factory??Downsides? It has a few chips and the odd small knock here and there, reflected I believe in the price. It is not concourse but an example of a good, reliable well loved and properly used Morgan! Any other questions, please don’t hesitate to email me andyabbosh at gmail dot com or of course by PM or 07525 930887 The car will only be advertised for a few weeks before being dispatched to a dealer where I can guarantee it will cost considerably more Lastly a warranty can be arranged via a trader friend (also a member of TM though a class 1 lurker). £39,995 ono NB private reg number is not included in the sale, the car will revert to an 05 plate.
Cheers

damn, I love this car, Belgian tax is a killer though, otherwise I would hand you over some Euro's
hope the next owner makes use of it like you did, taking it up the Applecross etc.

Hopefully someone will buy this before you have to put the Plan B detailed above into action. Good luck with the sale.

Andy, I hope this Aero 8 goes to someone in the fold as it really is a superb example.
As you have mentioned, the engine produces the highest bhp of any I've seen on a rolling road and with a tiny bit of TLC, cosmetically it would more than satisfactory for all bar a concours addict.
Good luck with the sale.

Good luck with the sale. Thanks Simon, a perfect description though I say so myself. Just looking forward to my new Wiessman Mansory should have finished all the additions I requested in the next few weeks!
Cheers

The car looks great - I'm sure you will go through withdrawal symptoms when it goes.
Not sure I could part with my Aero now.
Cheers,
Steve
