According to the valuations above our car is between good and mint ( it's excellent order) so should fly off the shelf at £18,499....... Hey ho spring is around the corner let's see how Autotrader /eblag / car and classic fare in due course  Given the excellent condition of the car, is it worth a phone call to either (or both) Lifes or Allon White to ask about the implications of a commission sale? AW only have 6 Morgans one their web site at present and none are 4 seaters. Traders in general want £2000, plus service on sale, fresh mot, any remedial works they find....so £2500 plus to sell your car. so returning £16,000. Or even more! My neybourgh sold his 2011 +4 (with 5.000 km on the clock) to a dealer for € 42.000. The dealer did put it up for sale at € 52.000.

My neybourgh sold his 2011 +4 (with 5.000 km on the clock) to a dealer for € 42.000. The dealer did put it up for sale at € 52.000. I can beat that percentage wise. My other DB7 was bought for £18000 and he put it up for £28000.

I agree those look like (over?) generous margins but I'm guessing a dealer might say there are offsetting costs. These might include any VAT element, the cost of financing inventory, overheads while cars are in the dealers ownership, workshop inspection and remedial work and taking on the risk of giving a warranty. Do dealers just accept the risk of giving a warranty or can they can cover it with insurance in some way? The question is where does the balance lie but I'd picked up the idea somewhere that a UK dealer would work on a margin of a round £5,000 on an average car, say in the £25-£50k bracket?

I've had several "scams" from alleged EU countries tried, Ebay scams re paypal tried.
It's really a cyberspace nightmare out there!
I'm still considering a consignment sale. ..........

The latest scam is taking my pictures / my description and posting it on "other" websites perporting to be me to scam money from prospective buyers
I've just spent 48hrs trying to get the adverts "removed"from the websites!!!

They even had the cheek to increase the price to boot !
I seriously think that consignment sale is the only way forward now
Eblag is a serious bad place
Autotrader is a complete waste of money

That's a real drag - have you tried the MSCC site I sold my first Plus 8 very quickly for the asking price using it as a non member.

That's a real drag - have you tried the MSCC site I sold my first Plus 8 very quickly for the asking price using it as a non member. No idea what that site is ??? Google takes me to spinal injuries site! Yes I've already got that hence the sale

Buy loads of stuff off eBay but never sell then last week had a flurry of email telling me the karcher spray I know nothing about had sold for £19.99.
Warned the buyer and contacted eBay.
My account had been hacked or cloned so changed password.
Wondered why eBay don’t text a code to enable a sale item if this is a common problem.
