The more I read the more I believe none of these so called experts actually really know anything. For example when I was at school it was the next ice age, then if we produce more co2 it will save the northern hemisphere from freezing. Well we succeeded at that.. Then we were all going to die from the suns rays with the depletion of the ozone layer (In others words they figured out how to measure and the computer said...we are doomed). Then it was what, bird, pig flu or some such disaster. Then its petrol, switch to diesel to save the babies..sorry we got that wrong go back to petrol no dont do that switch to electric or maybe wait for hydrogen but we may all drown (we can't by the way). Now its cattle farting and belching...I'd respect these "experts" far more if they were openly honest and say there are far better ways to produce our energy and lets stop wasting the earths precious assets on producing nappies. Hang on the dirty nappies need washing thats electricity for the washing machine or gas for the hot water and dermot in the water supply...Nope the computer was right we are all doomed. I'm off for a drive in my V8 after that my V6 twin turbo. I might fart as well 👍

Let’s face it Peter, there are too many of us on the planet. We all breath out CO2 and most of us fart....or some pass wind. We are all doomed!

The native North Americans used to burn the forest regularly because the rabbits eat the grass and the deer eat the grass and both were easy to hunt for them provided those small critters had food.

I survived the ice age (a book in the 70's was called "The return of the glaziers"), than the end of the European forests (acid rain catastropy) now it's the meat production (methan gas climate killers) most likely followed by a palm oil desaster and even Trump has not blown up the planet yet...

Most people enjoy better life conditions than they ever had before and as long as people are not dying of fear the human race will make it for some more generations.

They are saying that but and this is what annoys me, it comes with so called scientific calculations that are a prediction and not a fact. Which the media then whip up into a frenzy that we are all going to die and we have not only ruined the planet but ruined our childrens, childrens futures. However, this is all based on events that may or maynot happen. I whole heartedly agree that we should not waste anything in life but all the doom and gloom and old CND hippies coming out of the woodwork (No offense Bob) gets on my nerves.

For example, Ocean temperatures rising faster than was originally thought. They miscalculated their calculations and got it wrong. Not saying the temperatures arent rising but the media report disaster, again, because some numpty can't use his casio correctly 😁. But as John said too many people on the planet and I'd like to add not enough trees. They you go, John and I have just saved the planet...easy as that.👍 Maybe

Controlled burning (that is to say at the right time of the year so as not to create dangerous fires) is a system that has been used by the Australian Aboriginals for thousands of years. Open forest and grasslands favour kangaroos and kangaroo hunters. When the English arrived they had a fear of fire and that coupled with the decimation of the aboriginal population near Sydney due to disease brought about dense reafforestation. Much of the Australian forest was referred to by the early explorers as open forest and they were able to move through it with horses and bullock carts. Not something one could do in many of the forested areas today.

The Aboriginees actually altered the species of trees in much of the Australian forest as the practice gave rise to the predominance of the fire resistant eucalyptus varieties.
