As I mentioned above, the magnets used were to weak for speeds over 100kmh.
So, I tried stronger magnets and altered the fixing method. I used double-side tape (black for automotive use), which also keeps the magnets direct on the hood mohair fabric. The advantage is, it all can be easy removed at any time without any traces, scratches etc. The magnet on the mohair is now fixed outside, which makes joining/separating the very strong magnets more smooth. to keep the look decent, the outside magnets got a black adhesive foil cover. A small piece of a "closed cell foam" (doesn't soak water) at the hood edge reduces significant the aerodynamic noise and keeps also the space behind more dry when raining.
Tried 100 mph for now - resisted.
The neodym magnets are 20x10x10mm (A-pillar) and 20x10x5mm (hood). They have a power of 8,5 resp. 6,5 kg.
