The benefit of ACF50 is its ability to penetrate the tiniest gaps so ideally suited for the wing to body areas - and just spray it anywhere that moisture might lie or two pieces of metal meet. Good on wire wheels too and doesn't harm rubber or plastic. I'm sure there are other similar products out there but I've settled on ACF50 and give the car a good treatment once or twice a year.

I find it a lot easier to pour a small amount of ACF 50 into a container and use a small artist brush to apply it along the seams, although 3 in 1 works fine too.
Also put some behind the door fittings, mirror base, door handle, side screen knobs etc as I've seen quite a few older Morgan's with corrosion around these points.

The sample pots of ACF50 that occasionally come in goody bags are an ideal tool for application of a small dribble in all the important little places.

I removed my front wings in order inspect the joint area, i was amazed at the method of fixing to the body however at 5 years old it was in good shape and i re-attached them using a waxoyl based underseal in the joint area. Whilst i was at it i removed those stupid tread rubbers, fortunatly, before they'd damaged the paint and caused any corrosion. I think the rear wings will get the same treatment next winter.

What's the problem with tread rubbers please? How would they damage the paint?

Some have found that the nuts and bolts that secure them to the running boards start to corrode beneath the rubber. First clue that it is happening is when you see little pregnant bumps appearing along the rubber. As advocated by Dave W, it is better to secure them with a non metallic/plastic fixing. If you ignore it, there is the risk that the corrosion will spread into the paintwork itself and start creeping out under the strips. Although I haven’t experienced these issues in 8 years of Morgan ownership, if I had my time over, I would not specify tread rubbers. They are a nuisance for trapping water when cleaning the car and another trap for polish residue along the edges.
