But on the bright side, perhaps all new cars will have to be collected at Morgans expense from their brand new customer experience centre in Rome !!! hide

Didn't realise Holdens were no longer a dealership, it isn't all that long ago they were appointed instead of Stratstone in the Midlands.

They sent out a similar email last year but stating all servicing maintenance and rally preparation etc still ongoing.
They have some remaining stock at keen prices too and I believe they will carry on selling secondhand Morgan.

I see that MMC are suggesting (on Social Media) that you should contact “your local dealer” to arrange a Plus 4 Works edition test drive.
No link to a dealer list, that I could see.

I expect they are really struggling to sell the +4 Works edition, far too expensive... £65k!!! £15k more than I expect a similar spec 110 car would be ..

That is such a shame. I bought a lovely ex factory demo/hire +4 4 seater from Peter, who gave me a very fair price when I traded in my Three Wheeler.

I suspect that dealers in the immediate vicinity will not be too upset, Newtown was known for being very competitive...................

Keep up the good work Peter and team.

I wonder who will be the next dealer to leave?

I have witnessed similar activities in another franchise network.
In that case, it was a result of head office management arrogance and a lack of retail experience by the management in question.

Morgan have significantly increased fees to access the "portal" with aggressive terms and conditions to keep a franchise.

A number of Dealers have left and I think you will find there will be more....

I brought my Aero 8 from Peter and it was a most pleasureable experience. A sad day indeed.

Perhaps someone like Currie Motors will be appointed?

Mmm. This is very sad, and a bit worrying.

I know that without the sale of new cars the factory would go out of business, but it's only part of the whole Mog "food chain". It's not as though a dealer who only sells a few units a year is costing the factory money. The smaller dealers are often great brand ambassadors.

Enthusiasm, marque knowledge, good service and back-up are all so important with this sort of car. Often someone who buys a new car will have previously bought at least one second hand one.

This is most odd. Disturbing.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
