I inadvertently engaged my parking brake with too much pressure - and it will not release.
Is there a mechanism to release it in the transmission tunnel or at the rear wheel?

I would be inclined to lift the saddle board behind the seats and slacken off the handbrake adjuster itself as a start point. It's around a 10mm spanner size with a lock nut on it.

It's inside the transmission tunnel on the 3 wheeler. I'm assuming on the same side of the tunnel the brake handle is on? Thanks, Hunter

Yes, you can get at it from underneath by removing the inspection plate or from the top by removing the complete trans. tunnel.
It all depends if the car is up in the air or not.

Love the term “emergency brake” - l never had the the option for such a special brake on my M3W! I hear you, Paul. I've also heard it called a "parking brake." All I've got now is a beautiful M3W that won't move. Hopefully, that will be remedied shortly. Hunter

Thank you, my friends, for helping me resolve an issue with my M3W that had me stumped.
Going to the dealer, which is in Phoenix and 650 miles away (1046 km), is not a viable option.
