Paddockman, the front suspension (kingpins) will be tight for the first 1000 miles, once past that mileage the suspension will free up.
Just remember to grease the suspension, I would suggest twice before the 1000 miles and then at least every month or 1000 miles which ever is soonest.
Some will suggest sooner, that too is fine.

Why not give your dealer a call to talk through your issues so that they can advise you the best solution.

Not sure about the steering, but apparently the Plus 4 has an engine characteristic that the power is indeed not linear...

Mine was the same... it went a bit 'flat' after 3,500 RPM but then picked up again about 4,500 RPM onwards!

Enjoy! Lucky man. :>)

As others have said, a lot of it is down to the 'newness'. My 110 steering was decidedly stiff as if the UJ was tight plus the front end nodded quite a bit on bumps.. both have settled down now that its done a few hundred miles and i'm expecting it to improve further with use.
They also fit quite a small steering wheel (14 inch i think) which i find exaggerates the feel, i fitted a 15 inch and its much more relaxed.
If things don't improve as expected then a chat with the dealer is due.

Hi and welcome.
Florence was new in March and now has about 2600 miles on the clock.
Although I admit I am blind to all her possible faults, the steering was v stiff particularly at roundabouts but is loosening up nicely now by comparison. There also seems to bit a bit of throttle lag (if that’s the right phrase) occasionally when accelerating, I think, in mid range in 3rd gear. Not so it puts us in difficulties but a little noticeable (and not enough to bother me too much). Still early days though and I suspect they all do that....
