I also got Williams to fit their ITG induction kit which seems good value for money and has certainly removed a lot of the restrictive plastic/heat prone OEM induction set-up. However it's still sucking in warm air from being adjacent to the top of the radiator... I am going to have a look at mitigating that!
Cheers. Pete, isn’t your ITG sucking in the air from above the radiator like mine is? I noticed a big difference especially above 4,500 rpm. I wouldn’t relocate mine, even though the flexi hose touches partly on the radiator

I love the sound of my throttle bodies on my rhd P4SS Heinz.. and if any thing I would welcome more induction roar !!!
Would individual foam trumpet filters sound different to the full size foam filter I wonder ? I tried them, KEVITZ, when I had the P4SS instead of the full size foam filter. The result was disappointing. In my case it was a significant loss of performance. But they are cheap to give them a try, perhaps you get better results.

Perhaps they mounted the rad too high? As it is, it's right behind the top of the rad so is getting hot air... its not the best actually, on reflection it's a bit disappointing... They said they could not get the radiator any lower. Can you measure the distance from the top of the rad to the cowl for me on your please? Perhaps Si-Fab have made the radiator longer now? Cheers,

Can you perhaps take another photo of where the ITG 'box' is in relation to the top of the radiator as well? Cheers.

Whilst I respect Craig's observations regarding the systems effectiveness , I am surprised the air is taken from the top portion of the radiator cowl. The air flow at that point isn't great ( as illustrated by the video link and the my "dead fly" count after 250 miles). Also to get the best performance an engine prefers cold air - routing the pipe work or intake near the top ie, hottest, part of the rad seems strange to me and I'd think counter-productive somehow. Having said that I haven't tried it so am not talking from experience - just theory.

Surely, at any sort of speed the intake air is flowing so quickly that there’s not much time for it to get heated?

Not much time at all, I agree. But any heat that can-be avoided is good when it comes to intake air-flow. I think more relevant is the air flow issue really - after studying the video it became clear just where the air-flow is strongest and weakest. That was my starting point for deciding where to place my intake scoop. The video evidence clearly shows the top of the rad cowl isn't the optimum position.
Just do a long, fast summer evening drive to discover where the airflow is strongest - its the points where all the dead insects/bugs are.

I wonder if any reduction in intake temp would be offset by airflow losses and induced heat in the intake duct?

Thanks Craig. Yes, mine is exactly as per yours, but without the flexi pipe running over the top of the rad. I will have a look at this again when (if) if bloody stops raining!!!
