I've been thinking about doing this on my M16. I already have an ITG air filter and the Librands exhaust. The question is whether adding the manifold would give me enough bang for my buck.

How much did BHM charge for this?

Notice the fuel filter has what look like quick release fittings...guess I release pressure in the fuel line and pull to unclip?

talking with a friend and he tells me the difficulty to start may be fuel pump or filter if I turn on the ignition say 3 times listen to pump then on third time engage starter motor and were ok looks like low pressure due to filter or fuel pump?

The hoses attach to the filter a bit like the 'Hozelock' fittings on a garden hose - pull the clips back along the line of the hose while holding the filter. If you wrap some rags around the joint to collect the spillage (there will be some owing to the residual fuel pressure, but it shouldn't be too much) and make sure you haven't got a fag on the go, then all should be OK.

OK I've made an order for a fuel filter WJN101250 or GFE7036 which is the unipart code for the rover original may be a tenner well spent I'll come back with my findings, put some Esso Super unleaded in the tank today appears to have improved her performance. Us plus 4 T16 folk need to stick together and support these cars, Talk Morgan is a good forum for this.

With a T16 engined car, don't be surprised to find that at some stage you'll need a new high torque starter motor, as most of the originals weren't up to the job, and new gaskets for the sump and cam covers as the old ones go brittle and leak.
And you'll need an injection/ignition specialist if ever you fancy plugging in the diagnostic socket, 'cos even the old Rover dealers don't carry the right equipment to get the full readout. And then there's the 'wiring diagrams'...!
Good luck.

Going to try an take the restrictor plate out as mentioned.

The car currently has a straight through therefore no rear box.

Will the removal of the restrictor make it excessively loud at motorway speed as some have suggested with exhaust mods.

Fit the Librands Manifold & exhaust if you can. It makes a big difference.

Check the little pipe that takes air from the manifold to the ECU it goes brittle & lets in air, killing performance & sucking fual.
