My Morgan came, 15 years ago second-hand, with it's own set of bonnet stays.

Last weekend, as I approached the Portsmonth-Caen ferry I haeard the sound of serious metal banging inside the engine compartment. (big shout-out to the two TMer who were prepared to assist). Was it transmission, was it the brakes, was it suspension. I stopped the car to find that the clip holding the bonnet stay had snapped off, and the bonnet stay was very loose banging around. Luckily I had a bungie clip that I used to secure the stay. Hence I am know looking for a replacement stay, and where do I find the answer. On TM of course. I will be contacting wolk very soon.

Once again TM comes up trumps, I am ordering a set and the skid plate for good measure, though despite our roads have only grounded badly in the UK (Thruxton on the way to Aviation Leathercraft)

I have now invested in 3 pieces of cord.

One to hold the bonnet open when working in the garage.
One to keep in the car.
One to hold my trousers up!

Elasticated cord has a million uses, and is freely available in different colours and thicknesses.

In fact I'm using some as wing beading on the pedal Morgan...…...
