My brake pedal broke , luckily for me it happened while Krazy Horse were pumping the brakes during a fluid change . I had the early type with the M3W cut out . I seem to remember it happened at the pivot rod connection .
Here is the link to that THREAD.

Morgan's messaging on these issues now sure seems like there's a wrongful death lawsuit out there now (or something similar) and the new investment capital group's desire for indemnification from future legal / financial risk.

Morgan has done so little in the past to correct their flaws it's suspicious to me that they are now admitting to well known problems although they have not seemingly communicated to their dealer network.

Smells fishy to me!

An inspection by a bored mechanic is in all likelihood, less than an adequate solution. At a very minimum, Magnafluxing crack detection of the pedal should be done, for which the box would need to come out. For those of with early laser cut pedal boxes, like me, Morgan should just be supplying new boxes, full stop. The MTBF (mean time between failures) for something as essential as a brake pedal, should be infinite. I will have a really good check on mine when I replace the clutch pedal friction material next week, looking for paint cracking and evidence of distortion.

Interesting that 2014 cars are now included in the chassis issue. I thought they had the design upgrade to eliminate the chassis cracking?

+1 on Hugo's comment, none of the dealers seem to know anything yet.

Agreed for the chassis but the pedal box is a different issue. Mine has the laser cut pedals. I have emailed Dave Cartwright to ask if this might have been looked at when they did the total rebuild.

Good point Wilson, I was just thinking of the chassis.

I agree with your later post that MMC should just replace the pedel boxes with the new spec.

From the earlier thread it looks as if the original M3W cut pedels were only fitted up until Nov 2012 so there can't be that many out in the field. The cost to inspect properly and take remedial action would soon build up and a straight swap programme has to be safer and cheaper. Particualary as swapping the pedal box is something that can be easily done by any decent mechanic.

Checking the chassis is a whole different kettle of fish as more cars potentially impacted as they are looking at up to the end of 2013.

When you all talk about the design upgrade for the chassis are re referring to the frame configuration or the thickness of the tubing or the welding practices, or maybe all of the above?

2019 M3W Sold and is now in Las Vegas enjoying the showgirls :-)
