Adventure for a 3 wheeler continues - might have sorted one here locally. If the owner comes forward with the trade. Made an offer that was verbally approved on thursday. Will be in touch tomorrow to hopefully close the transaction and this 3 year long hunt. That or its back to square 1 ... again !

I would agree with Planenut. In my experience in a hot climate, the M3W just does not run properly with the original heavily baffled exhausts. They force too much of the hot exhaust gas to remain in the engine. My cylinder head temperatures with the original exhausts were 180-190ºC in hot weather (south of France). Since fitting G56 exhausts, not only have I cured the dreadful pinking but the cylinder head temperatures have dropped to 130-140ºC, next to the stacks. Improved Centa - I am not wholly convinced. There might be a tad less clattering than the original but I still feel there is far too much vibration. I rode pillion one of the Porsche engined V Rod bikes just round the village last week and the vibration level was a fraction of what the S&S makes. I think this would have been a far better engine for the M3W.

Not that it matters, this "may" have been Blake's M3W. I know he did lots of mods to it and then there was something said that he was selling it and getting something else similar to the M3W.

But this was several years ago. Haven't seen anything from Blake on Talk Morgan for several years now.

I thought Blakes was black with red interior, his 2nd one was grey with red again I think. The last I heard from him he'd gone over to a 911.

Hey Guys,

The roller coaster continues - I went to see 3 other 3 Wheelers here in the country and while they all live a very dull garage queen life the owners declined to sell despite agreeing on a fair price. I haven't suffered that many rejections since prom ...

In any case I've crossed my mind and given up on finding a post 2014 model - Prices have barely moved in 3 years and availability is scarce to say the least (which is good). So after a few weeks of soul searching and some liquid courage i've decided to follow Alice down the rabbit hole: I'm going to Malvern to get one !

I am still on the fence regarding EU3 vs EU4 (with the facelift options of course) - since i do intend to take this car on long distance trips across europe and EU3's are not allowed anymore...

Here is the current spec in mind:

Bugatti Blue (no not the royal blue the other one - from a type 35)
Tan leather interior
Tan Leather strap
Polished cowl (with radiator cap if still available ?)
Polished exhaust
Polished shield
Leather pockets
-On the fence having the mesh wheels in chrome/polish or kept in black

Not to sure about any other "must have" options so do share your opinions.

Its a rare color combo that looked absolute killer on that type 35 bugatti by Pur Sang.

Does anyone leave in Wales or in/around Malvern ? I'm always happy to meet up with other owners.

Best,

Edward

Maybe a luggage rack and stage 1 kit to be included?
And an upgraded steering wheel?
Heated seats?

Great news that your search may soon be over

I'd definitely go EU3, you'll be fine driving a EU3 in Europe, you just won't be able to resell it there.

+1 on a MMC Stage 1 or G56 exhaust to free up the gas flow and keep the engine cooler.

The standard steering wheel is actually quite nice to use, it just looks a bit cheap and nasty. Easily replaced with something like a Moto Lita after you take delivery which would suit the Type 35 evocation

I'd add a rear mudguard and heritage bonnet catches.

On the litterature I have access to (off their website) there's no listing of the MMC Stage 1 or G56 exhaust. The one's here are doing fine without it. My friend has put 12.000km in a year on his 2018 mondel (must be a record).

Steering wheel is something i'd like to look into at a later stage once i've spent time with the car - Heated seats - Hmm not very useful in this region but worth a shot - EU3 means I can't bring it back to France or Europe (if or when) I return. I'd kick myself If I can't bring it back with me ...

Now rear mudguard -i'd like to hear the pros and cons from owners.

What about brookland windscreen - is it still available from factory ?

The luggage rack is a tad overpriced to be honest and I'm sure a metal worker can fix me one for a 10th of the cost ... I've seen the alternatives on this forum but damn a 1000 pounds ...

I do not have the rear mudguard.... I have been caught in a coupe of heavy downpours.... there was dried mud in the pan in the boot and I can only imagine if I got under and looked

get the mud guard
