Today an old friend of mine came down for a run in my 2009 +4 as he is contemplating joining the Morgan fraternity.
As he is over six feet he had concerns that the top of the windscreen would hamper is line of sight, that turned out to be no problem but his size 13 feet were rather short of room when changing from accelerator to brake.
In my car there is a cover over the steering column and this seemed to be the cause of the problem, I don’t remember that cover in my 4/4 but I could be wrong.
How do other large footed people manage? And/or is it possible to cut a bit off the bottom of the column cover?

Any advice appreciated.

I have size 11 & have had no issues. I guess cutting cover would work. Older cars did not have this refinement , it is purely cosmetic

I remember this being a problem on some of my early Roadsters but it is not noticeable on the 4/4. Morgan may have changed the steering column cover in later cars. More annoying is the position of the drive-by-wire accelerator relative to the brake pedal as it is several inches closer to the bulkhead making heel-and-toe impossible.

I guess the best thing for him to do will be to talk to a dealer if he sees a car he is interested in and try it out for size

Having size 14 feet ,when I initially looked at Morgan's I found that +4's were very tight for foot space. Then I tried a Roadster for size and found quite a difference in both legroom and foot space. :Having said that I have narrower feet as well and use narrow shoes. Size 13 feet if wide could still be an issue though.

I gave my son a go of my 4/4 recently, he has size 14 and he didn’t comment so I presume it’s fine. I have tiny size 11s and other than the annoying difference between the brake and throttle, as mentioned by Max5, it’s all fine.

That's very easy to sort. If you look the pedal is fixed by two bolts. If you take out the lower bolt the pedal hinges upwards out of the way.
Then refit the bolt while the pedal is up. The bolt then sticks out and when you hinge the pedal back down it is slightly higher and positioned perfectly for heel and toe. It's also possible to turn the roller to the other side if you take the pedal off and turn it over before fixing it back with just the top bolt. It's clearer when you look at it.....for which you have to be on your back head in the footwell. Well worth doing though, makes an enormous difference.
