After rear tire removal to replace the sprocket, I needed to bleed the drum brake. I took an old glass cider jug and soldered a couple of 6mm (1/4 inch) pieces of copper tubing into the steel screw-on cap, one long, one short. The long one is connected via plastic tubing to the bleed connection; the short one is connected via plastic tubing to a vacuum source (air-powered venturi). Without ever pumping the brake pedal, I drew fluid out of the rear brake bleeder while watching and refilling the reservoir with DOT 4. One man job, and the brake pedal feels firmer now than it did before.
