The restoration of my late 1973 (build) Plus 8 is continuing very slowly, but is progressing. I am now dealing with the wiring - every connector is corroded and none of the earths are good. As part of tracing of the wires, I have two lamps on the dash and I do not know what they are for. Could someone with a similar Pus 8 please tell me? Also, though I have an oil pressure switch on the oil pump housing, there does not seem to be a wire in the old harness for it and there is no mention of such a switch or warning lamp on the appropriate GoMoG wiring diagram. Was the switch wired in and back to the dash? If so, what colour is/was the wire?
I prepared an annotated pic of the dash showing the lights in question but I cannot understand the help section on how to attach / post the pic. So words will have to do:
In the speedo, there is at the bottom left a blue high beam warning light, and bottom right the ignition light. Centrally, between the speedo and the instrument cluster is a horizontal row of three lights; on the right is the indicator warning light, but what please are the other two - a larger red central light and a smaller red light on the left.?
Any and all help greatly appreciated.
Francis

If it't the same as mine the large red light is the Hazard flasher and the small red light is the brake warning light for the parking/handbrake.

Convention has it that the oil presure sender wire to warning light will be yellow/green if this helps.

Thank you Georgetoad and I guess it is the same as yours (yours '70 +8; mine '73 +8) so I can try to trace the wires back from the lights. And this would indicate there is no light for the oil pressure, notwithstanding the presence of a pressure switch on the pump housing. I will however look for a yellow/green wire, as suggested by Richard.

The handbrake warning light also serves as a brake warning light should one of the brake circuits fail.
Kind regards
