Reading all the posts about the end of trad production I've had a look back at these images - old and new if you like. There is a purity of design with the trad - the plus 6 is lovely but to my eyes the trad looks more - original or genuine or authentic?
Maybe a plus 6 would be a great daily driver and the Trad a car to cherish, tinker with and care for. Something tells me the appeal and sheer character of the older design will run deeper for longer with owners. After my test drive in the PlusSix we sat in the car for a bit scrolling through the dash settings etc, and the salesman said "you do know you wont be able to spanner & tweak this like you do on your Roadster, you know" The purely mechanical nature of the Trad is something that will be sorely missed. It’s such an antidote to the homogenised and computerised banality of most modern cars.

Browsing the web pages a highly spec'ed plus 4 caught my eye nestled 150 miles away at Krazyhorse in Bury St Edmunds. To obtain this jewel there was a major challenge to overcome (well 2 actually if you include the cost to change). 'Whats wrong with the old one' asked the Boss, sharp as a razor despite my best efforts with a rather expensive bottle of wine 'Well nothing actually but this one has more extras than Ben-Hur and due to the suspension tweaks will ride like a limousine' (I should have added 'compared to our one' but I have learnt from our dear old politicians its best to be economic with facts if you wish to cloud the truth sufficiently to carry the argument). And so following protracted negotiations on the home front the deed has been done. Krazyhorse were a joy to deal with, I'm as pleased as punch and in my biased opinion prefer the look of mine rather than the new pretender (which I wish every success).Pop You’ve bought a cracker, but what about that gorgeous maroon trad with the proper roof behind it! I’m off to the Krazy Horse website!

I copied the full embedded BBCode as I couldn't see your link. That looks very nice. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2019/09/10/DSC_0062.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2019/09/10/DSC_0059.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2019/09/10/DSC_0063.jpg) Interesting side by side photos. When I first saw the "new one" it was on its own and just looked like any other trad on the outside apart from the number of bonnet louvres ( see, I am beginnng to understand Morgan culture!). Side by side the new one looks quite a lot bigger, lower sleeker and more modern. Somehow a bit like a Panther rather than an old car by which I mean a modern creation in an old style. I hope you enjoy your new car

It is strange if you see them side to side . On occasion especially from the rear they look very similar. Side on I agree they are very different.

The Plus 6 is more like a Plus 8 than a roadster, in shape and form. The additional vents are to let out all the heat from the engine and the turbo. I rather like them, especially the ones on the Bonet rear sides: better than extending the Bonet catches.....

To my eyes the PlusSix looks more squared off on the curves over the mudguards and running boards. It gives it a slightly slab sided appearance when compared to the trad. I think I would prefer to see a more rounded profile, but that is just me.

Me too the squared off front wings exaggerate what is an already very wide car ( well coming from a 4/4 in particular) The traditional Morgans on the other hand look good from any angle, and you cant say that about many cars .
