We did parts of it this year in very mixed weather. Applecross and the pass to it is fantastic. Glad you are enjoying it.

A slight detour today - across to Skye. Torrential rain this morning so the Applecross pass was a little challenging! Well into the clouds at the summit, 10 meters or so visibility, so no view. A waterfall, somewhat larger than usual, manage to post itself through the side screen onto my right shoulder on one of the hairpin bends - icy cold!!
Sun came out after that for the run across Skye. Now at Carbost to visit Talisker distillery - fortunately no more driving today!!
Ferry to Mallaig tomorrow, then the long slog back to Devon via Loch Lomond.

You'll just have missed the Morgan group I usually go to Scotland with. They were staying at the Glenfinnan Hotel until this morning.
You'll pass Glenfinnan on the road to Ft, William from Mallaig.

Did indeed pass through Glenfinnan this afternoon - no Morgans to be seen - only one going the other way along Loch Lomond later this afternoon- actually only seen two Morgans all 10 days - the other was on way north near Edinburgh on far side of a dual carriageway. (Other than at the MMC factory of course!)

Pretty sure they'd have left early this morning.
Probably overnight at Carlisle tonight (unless I'm a day out and they left yesterday!). Lost the schedule somewhere, as I couldn't go!

(Other than at the MMC factory of course!) That was me, on the way back from Glenfinnan. There were a couple behind me but I think they must have still been coming down from Rest and be Thankful when you went through Tarbert.

Safely back to Devon yesterday through torrential rain for most of the day. Great trip in a great car and in great company! Pictures and highlights of the trip to follow once I've sorted through the photos.
