For some reason my headlight main beam isn't working. If I pull the stalk back it it flashes but if I push it forward the main beam doesn't engage and the blue main beam indicator doesn't light. All the fuses are fine. Could it be a relay, and if so which one of the four? Anyone got any ideas?

I have not even stood close to a modern three wheeler, so anything I type could be rubbish.... IF you have fitted more powerful lamps.. and done quite a bit of night running on main beam, could be that the contacts have burned in the switch..? Not too uncommon on all sorts of modified vehicles....? The main/dip switch for whatever reason seems suspect No 1..?

There are five relays on an M3W with cooling fan. Two are for headlamps, dip/main and main beam - each have a blue/slate wire for identification, check by substitution with similar diode relay (worth having a spare). Check also stalk switch and TSM/headlamp unit connectors. If no luck with suggestions would suspect the latter.

Hi,
Exactly the same problem on a friends Mog was elusive to fix.
However it turned out( after a dealer looking for three weeks) to be a part Morgan call the Indicator Module. It is listed in Ian Bretts alternative parts list on MTWC website. Available from dealers to order and a bugger to fit. It has been responsible for many similar problems, I now carry one as a spare !

Problem solved! Seems it was an operator error!
If you flash the headlights you then need to push forward twice to re-engage main beam functionality.
Thanks for the other information though, much appreciated!

Well, that is certainly good information! Flash the headlamps and you need to reset the system by a double push forward.

Thank you👍

Black Adder: You beat me to it, I found that out after much frustration trying to locate the issue. Was fiddling around with the switch/stalk and must have pushed it forward twice to reset, wonder how many people have replaced relays, etc. (which by disconnecting the power does the same thing) for no need?

Not quite getting that ? My headlights ( main beam ) are on . I can flash my high beams fine ( by pulling stalk back once ).
If I push stalk forward twice , to Reset ? My main beam ?
My main headlights are on . If I release my stalk from pulling back , my lights simply resort to main beams . Nothing extra happens if I push stalk disarm twice or 100 times. What’s supposed to happen is high beams ie brights are supposed to be Locked on . Which does not happen . My brights /high beams do not come on when stalk pushed forward ? So I’m not getting the whole ReSet concept ? And it flies in face of function , I think . I checked all my fuses 👍🏼 . Isn’t there someone whole has had this specific problem?
I would appreciate some knowledge and help . Specific accurate help preferably...lol
