Believe it or not I did once measure the corner weights, must have been bored that day! Didn't even write them down as I couldn't think of a use for them at the time.

Very good info indeed! I was expecting something like that! Quite forward. That's the reason for the thread! Imagine I place the axle(s) just in the middle of the 3 wheeler = I would have a hell of a weight at the end of the trailer nose!

We have a "trailer package" Ford explorer to haul our trailer.

That's true. The set of the M3W plus the trailer will be around 2000 pounds!

However I have an SUV with permanent 4x4, with a V6 300hp diesel engine, with huge torque. I can pull 3,5 tons according to the specifications. If I had another kind of car, I would think twice about trailing the M3W, despite it's considered a "light weight".

And the trailer will have an inertial braking system (not sure if you call it this way in English... confused2) that will reduce the workload of the SUV's brakes.

I am now relieved! When we got our explorer, we made sure it had the heavy duty transmission made for towing.

I asked MMC if they can tell us the exact balance point of the M3W. I got a reply saying they'll come back soon with this "interesting" information I'm asking for.

Hope they'll really tell me.... tumbleweed

I asked another question about hose temperature ratings and got a similar answer, “nobody has ever asked that before”, and wonder of wonders they did get back to me with those numbers.

The balance point might be a bit more obscure.

Maybe they already have the answer. If not, maybe the question teases them enough to make a test and find it! somestick
