I've only had experience with they're winter tyres and they're good in my opinion. I think Vredestein are owned by Michelin or they were a number of years ago according to my brother in law who works for Michelin.

Vredestien are one of the mid market tyre companies. I believe they used to be part of BF Goodrich or one of the big tyre companies but are now part of Apollo which is one of the big India tyre companies.

I have used their tyres on my S2 in the past and found them pretty much as good as the top tier products. I have a set of them on the big ML off roader and they do not seem quite as good on that car/size as the previous Yokohamas I had on it or the Michelin Cross Climates prior to that. The gap on the ML is around the steering feedback being a bit numb compared to the Yokohama's In general I have had no problems at all with them.

I would say the Toyo's will probably give more grip and feel than them.

robmog88, opportune post. I have just ordered 4 vredestein sprint classics (175/70/R15 86H) for my 4/4. Will post what they are like once delivered & fitted.

I am a great fan of the Michelin Cross Climates. By law in this part of the world you must have winter tyres (3 peak/snowflake) fitted or have chains in the car from 15 November to 15 April. I do have a set of chains for the Morgan but I doubt very much that I would ever fit them, it probably is not even suitable for wire wheels. On the Morgan I find the performance of the Cross Climates more tha adequate and they grip exceptionally well in the wet. My only criticism is that they have a slight tendency to slip a little when under hard acceleration from a standstill when turning. An example of this would be after a stop at a T intersection and turning onto the through road. More a matter of tyre squeel than anything else. I tend to run 1.8 bar in the rear so it may be that I have the pressure too high.

We also have them fitted to the VW Polo. On that they just simply do everything that they should and the grip under braking in the wet is fantastic.

I know Calum had one fitted to the rear of "Red Three". When I asked him about it he said that he was quite happy with it and it simply worked. He was certainly able to make it work on the Caramulo hill smile
