Do you know what the thread type/size is for the bevel box vent?

No, but the next time I go to the hardware store I will take the oem vent with me to see what nut fits.

How do you know when you have filled to correct level to allow the breather to work?

With that large amount of oil in the bb it is still not visible in the fill tube, therefore not even up to the oem vent level. Then the tube raises from theB to the top of the M3W so that is roughly 2 ft of breather tube with the vent cap at the end of it.

Stephen, thanks. The reason I ask is I have the cooler and that takes 940ml which of course has to feed the cooler and the lines. I can see the level of oil in the BB by the feed line that gives me the level in relation to the OEM vent. In your case you go by the measured amount you are putting in i.e. 840ml. During this summer when the ambient temp was 90-100F and spirited driving on the mountain passes here at over 10,000ft the temp in the BB never went above 180.

I see, you have the bb cooler as well as the engine cooler. I was trying to reduce complexity so was willing to try volume before the oil cooler on the bb. I called Royal Purple and they said that the temps shown on the gauge were ok and that the oil was still working.
