LOL.... When the tax man values it for...… Since so very few plus 8's change hands, I am sure it was based on the value of one with extensive changes, for example a corvette engine instead of the land rover V8

We all have desire. Folks with extra dough sometimes love to buy something to look at it. Not my thing, but to each their own...

Personally speaking one of the reasons I bought the Morgan was because though not inexpensive, it's a price I am comfortable to pay (entry cost + maintenance) for driving pleasure/enjoyment. It's an excellent little road car built purely for enjoyment. I work a lot, with little time for hobbies, and even I've gone 1600 miles in mine since taking delivery back in April. That's a win for me.

Same reasons here too. I have 1500+ since taking delivery 7 July 2019. Lots of tinkering around to get it working properly but boy is it fun to drive!!! :-)))))

Medical reasons keep me from driving on overnight trips, or anything that might require food. BUT, I do drive the heck out of day trips in the area in spite of being old and slow :-)

A great road car requires constant tinkering if properly being used. These were designed to be used! laugh

A bit like having a beautiful girlfriend and not making love to her, for fear of spoiling her for her next partner?
