If a 1980 Plus 8 isn't too vintage for you, I've just finished my three year full chassis up rebuild (currently at the paintshop.) If there is a problem, I've probably found it and might be able to save you a bit of grief. As to the loom, I bought mine from Melvyn years ago when I knew I would need it one day. Spent an age replacing all the bullets with multi-pin connectors.
