Four good things about today
1 the sun is shining for the first time in a while and the roads are passably dry
2 I have an excuse to get out in the Morgan
3 Hood down from Weybridge over the downs in glorious sunshine
4 New Naim Mu-So installed

Yes a run over to Weybridge to pick up our new Naim Mu So from Richer Sounds, followed by a long stint in Christmas traffic on the approach to Cobham. I decided on the long way home by Burpham and over the hill to Dorking. Fast run down to Guildford, possibly faster then allowed.

I bought Dave Welling’s book and have embraced the joy of neoprene and purchased Both D and B shaped door seals, self adhesive type, one by 3M. These now grace strategic locations around the doors of my Plus 4 rendering them draft free. Both doors had a very irritating draft entering just by the kidneys of those seated and so this has been particularly satisfying. The doors now close with a more luxurious clunk, all good for the soul.

Sunny morning, so it had to be done, even if it was only a few miles to Theale and back. Makes up for the drive to MWS last week which was heavy rain along the M4 there and back.

I have not been out for over 6 weeks with Seve'.

The roads and fields (water running off them on the roads) are sodden in Shropshire. Nov and Dec have been a really struggle - in my modern - let alone in the Mog!!!

Raining again now...doh.

Dry here in Suffolk so I might do a Xmas day run to see a mate go swim in the N Sea for charity.

Forecast was dry here today. And its p*****g it down again.
Could be another day when the Land-Rover becomes essential .....

Morgan last driven on 27th November and not looking good for a few days again.

Flooded roads have become almost a weekly event here in South Notts. Getting very fed up of the rain, the lack of accuracy in the forecasts and the constant mud at the farm where our horses live. Horses also getting very fed up of not being allowed out in the space which we still laughingly call a field but is more like a muddy pond.

Nice pics John. For me yesterday was the dry road day in Norfolk so a shopping trip to Thetford with the roof off, not least because I bought a new leaf rake wink

I have been out and about but mostly in the rain. Temperature has peaked at 17 degrees and is now 9 degrees. I often miss living in North Norfolk and Shropshire and sometimes the countryside and the lack of traffic really does feel like both counties. I remember driving north from Norwich in late December 1975, in my near new Midget and hearing an ever increasing noise. As I passed two horse riders , a Lancaster bomber, a Spitfire and a Hurricane overtook me. That never happened in Shropshire but once, whilst we were on a hill, an
RAF Harrier flew past, below us.
