Yes, to Boxhill for an early, frosty morning blast, the dawn breaking, clear dry roads, sunrise over Leith Hill. Nice one. I went to Felixstowe Beach to see the mad fools going for a swim in the N Sea for charity. Reminded me of the clangers but a higher pitch tone as they ran in.

As the weather was fine and new front tyres were fitted on the Morgan........... ![[Linked Image]](https://nsm09.casimages.com/img/2019/12/25//19122507275417093216571653.jpg) I took the opportunity to visit a friend of mine who is a morganist but also a great fan of other exotic motorized vehicles. I was thus able to try this RHD french Amilcar of 1924 (or 1927, I don't know anymore). Only 16 miles on Christmas Day. Took my 14 year old nephew out for a quick spin (his first trip) up the A1 and then a drive around the local villages with the sun shockingly low (so really struggled to see forwards-who cares in a Mog at 30 miles an hour?).
Roof down but we were both well wrapped up. It was bloody marvellous. He appeared to love it as much as I did (even though his mum was worried I might drive too quickly) and had a grin on his face the size of Stamford for the rest of the day. Will have to teach him how to polish the car another day- if I trust him with the detailer of course.....
One of those special moments when long term memories are created for all. V happy uncle I is.

Great stuff HB it's these special trips that really bring home the "specialness" of our cars delivering joy to others, he'll never forget it and who knows maybe he will go on and become an owner some day.
