Neither of my Plus 8's had them and I found them annoying on my 4/4 Sport so removed the 2 that were left after a short while but made sure the wipers were adjusted so as to have no metal to metal contact and that they parked in the right place quite easy to do. They look neater that way imho.

I suppose one could say the same about the leather triangular bonnet protectors, protection from what? Sorry it drift from subject.

The wiper end caps hold on well with a tiny dab of 'superglue' or clear UHU, just leave to cure overnight before driving
