Yesterday was perfect for a drive here in the states. 53° F. Unfortunately I found the battery was dead. Left it on the charger over night and giving it another try this afternoon when it's 56° F!

Now, now! We’re international on here and cater for all, but I know what you mean, Fahrenheit has never calibrated in my mind,

I watched a movie lately called ‘6 bellow’, true story about a snowboarder lost in the mountains, thought at the time , “ big deal, 6 below is still tee shirt weather here”

Take of 32 & divide by 1.8. So roughly 56 is 24 /1.8 or around 13 c. Plenty warm enough for top down driving

Each month the ThamesMOG visit a different property in the Thames Valley area and last Sunday we visited Chawton House. Like many centres, ThamesMOG arranges some of its events months in advance, with little or no knowledge of what the weather conditions will be like on the day.

We had arranged our visit to Chawton House to coincide with their snowdrop walks garden opening in aid of the National Garden Scheme. With the especially early spring this year we were concerned that the snowdrops may be over before we arrived, this coupled with the impact from storms Ciara and Dennis, a very changeable weather forecast, and with the impending effect of the coronavirus, we could not guarantee if any Morgans would appear, or if their journey would be wasted.

Sunday morning greeted us with showers, so it was a very pleasant surprise to find Morgans already parked in pride of place, in front of Chawton House. We were joined by hardy souls from ThamesMOG, SogMOG and LogMOG, some in their Morgans, and some arriving in their tin tops. The coffee shop was our first port of call, and once we had been revitalised, the sun had come out and we had an enjoyable stroll around the gardens and admired the snowdrops, which did not seem to have suffered from the battering of the storms in the previous three weeks. Apparently snowdrops prefer dampish soil. Some also took time to explore Chawton House.

So impressed were we with our visit that LogMOG are arranging, with SogMog and ThamesMOG, a mid-week trip to Chawton and Jane Austen's House Museum this summer.

Some lovely looking Trad's there. Love the one with the 9 stud hood.

Curious... why is it called a '9 stud hood' when there are actually 10 studs in the photo??
