I like to buy British where I can, but do not fuss terribly when I can't. The only thing I try to do is avoid anything which I suspect is made in a sweatshop somewhere - my parents are from a country where such places have thrived, and many of my family have campaigned/worked to stop such practices, which are genuinely horrendous.

Some things, while I would like to buy English, a foreign product is sometimes better. For example, my regular field and clay use shotguns are Berettas, as they simply stand up to the abuse better than the English guns I own.

I love my Morgans (I still have to sell one Aero 8!!), and very much enjoy the fact that they are British - but apart from Caterham/Westfield, they are the only British car whose brand I really buy into with any great loyalty.

A few things, I will only buy British:

- Suits & formal overcoats. English tailoring is still, without a doubt, the best in the world. While the Italians/Americans beat us for off-the-peg stuff, semi-bespoke and bespoke suits are still best done in Jermyn Street, for cut, finish and longevity.

- Shooting jackets. Barbour, always. My Barbour wax jacket is 30 years old (it was my father's) and still performs exactly as it should, with periodic re-waxings.

- formal shoes - but that's simply because the nicest shoes I find are always from an English designer.

Other than these (fairly specific) items, will buy from wherever - quality and value are more important to me than origin, generally (with the swetshop proviso noted above)...

The stainless steal are and probably all of the rest but they are good.

I have sent them a contact email asking about the addition of Morgan. Anyone else ?

I've dropped them am e-mail! They have also omitted Triumph! God knows why they have Royal Enfield....the bikes are made in India!

As anyone who has ever seen the brazing or welding on these bikes will work out in about two nano- seconds!

An engineer mate of mine once described it as 'bird sh*t welding' and he wasn't far wrong

In the 80s and 90s the Enfield quality wasn´t good. But they have learned a lot and in the new century the bikes are well made.

I don't disagree - they have improved. Goddness knows, when they firs started comng into this country, they couldn't have been worse

My concern is that when one compares the Enfield to other bikes in the 'traditional' mould, the actual finish of the assembly can be very crude
