My remote key fob won't lock the car any more. I suspect it's a sensor issue and not a key fob issue (the light is still lighting up on both key fobs indicating the batteries are fine).

Can anyone give me some pointers as to how I can go about diagnosing/fixing this issue? I'm not even sure where the sensor is in the car blush

New battery always fixes it. Led will light up but the power required for the transmitter is much higher. Had his happen on two aeros, each time a new batter solved things. It's a cheap fix...

I'm inclined to agree with Rich.

Try new batteries before anything else.

Had the same issue and solved in the same way.
Batteries are CR2016, for reference.

If you find as I did that it was non of the above. I have the fix. Good luck and I hope its just the battery and not the control relay unit. cheers

For now it was the batteries, but with this car you never know what could happen the next morning laugh
