Friends of my parents who live in a very small village in Cumbria wanted to take their motor home today up to a site in the Hebredes, so they rang ahead only to be told they weren’t wanted

‘No one from urban areas’

He tried to argue that they were from one of the most rural locations in the North West from a tiny village without any pub or even a shop

They weren't having any of it so have had to cancel the trip

Not judging one way or the other but it just shows what’s going on

This is the parochial view being adopted by a certain sector down here, but it is very real unfortunately.

So, does anyone know a recipe for 3 onions and 1 Daily Mail?

I would suggest trading the daily mail (which is crap at best) as "future pre-cycled toilet roll" on eBay, waiting for the money to roll in and swapping it for a pack of pork mince and some lasagne sheets then trading up for a KFC family bucket?

😂😂😂
Nice suggestion which I will pass on to my mate!

Thought I would cheer myself up and watch the film Darkest Hour tonight

Yes I know, but I thought it would give me the war time spirit and all that

I’ve had it on DVD for ages but never seen it

It had very good reviews but sadly it left me cold

Just dull and lacking any drama at all

Am I the only one?

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/covid-19-essential-travel-guidance

Who this guidance is for
This guidance is for people planning to visit second homes or holiday premises during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Essential travel does not include visits to second homes, camp sites, caravan parks or similar, whether for isolation purposes or holidays. People should remain in their primary residence. Not taking these steps puts additional pressure on communities and services that are already at risk.

Yes.

First trim the headlines, finely chop these and add them to 7 paragraphs which should be then held over a light heat until medium brown or read.

Mash up the onions with 3 pages of advertising, 1 crossword and the TV guide. Be careful to take out any opinion pieces as these can easily overwhelm the flavour.

Add the onions, advertising, crossword and TV guide to the paragraph reduction and serve with the colour supplement.

If the Govt are going to have legislation today to stop all travel(exept 'essential' travel ) then airports should close but imagine heathrow and Gatwick being closed , very doubtful ! cop 12 weeks of this ? Really ? flyingpig
